Microblading Pre-Care.

Keep in mind every clients skin responds differently to these treatements, and this information acts as a guideline only.

  • Waxing or brow shaping should be done no less than 2 days before your appointment.

  • Tinting should be done no less than 3 days prior to your appointment if you wish for your microblading to be matched to your brow tint. (Only recommended if you tint them regularly.)

  • If you laminate your brows, lamination should be done no less than 3 weeks before or 6 weeks after your appointment.

  • If you are unsure of your natural eyebrow shape, let your hair grow. I will shape them accordingly upon your approval.

  • Avoid tanning 2 weeks prior to your microblading appointment.

  • Be cautious of the sun in the days leading up to your appointment- sunburnt skin on your forehead, flaking skin around your eyebrows, these things along with blemishes or rashes that may appear in the brow make for a poor canvas to tattoo and the appointment should be rescheduled. In this case, please contact me prior to your appointment to reschedule.

  • If you are or have been on antibiotics within the last two weeks leading up to your appointment, contact me at least 48 hours prior to your appointment to reschedule.

  • All invasive facials and skin treatments (peels, laser, microneedling, etc.) must be done no less than 4 weeks prior to your microblading appointment.

  • Botox and fillers should be done no less than 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

  • Stop using retinol, vitamin A, glycolic acids, and exfoliants 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

  • If you take a blood thinner, consult a doctor and discontinue use for the 48 hours leading up to your appointment. (Continuing use will cause excessive bleeding and poor pigment retention.)

  • Do not drink alcohol in the 24 hours prior to your appointment.

  • Avoid drinking caffeine the day of your appointment.
